This gorgeous vintage dressing gown robe from Dorothy's in Tulsa store and designed by the wonderful vintage designer Odette Barsa who made all those glamorous lace peignoirs and sets decades ago. The dressing gown is adorned with fluffy latte marabou and is what dreams are made of! The fascinating marabou around the neckline moves ever so beautifully with the slightest breeze.
The color is fabulous in a shade called Champagne Bubbles. The peignoir is out of 3!!! (if you can imagine!) layers of nylon with 2 sheer layers on top of a silky semi-sheer fabric. 2 snaps at the top for close as well as a button & loop below. Very wide satin ribbon to tie in a luxurious bow! There is a tiny button on the end of the sleeve with a loop for decoration. Huge pleat in back to give the peignoir fullness.
Absolutely gorgeous!

Size: I wear a size 10 and I could get it on but it was a bit snug around the top of the arms and back so I would suggest it is for a smaller size. Probably more like a today's size of 6 or 8 but go by the measurements for a good fit
Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – not of your own figure. You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown.
Bust: 40 - 41 and maybe just a bit more because of the raglan sleeves but leave room for movement
Shoulder to shoulder: Cannot measure because of the way the sleeves have been sewn
Length of sleeve from neck: 18
Waist: 40
Length: 54
Fabric: Cotton & poly velour velvet & satin
Care: I would remove the marabou before washing. If you leave it on, you will ruin it. The marabou is put on with running stitches to make it easy to remove if one needs to give it a hand wash but not machine. Easy to put the marabou back on and you could even add snaps on the peignoir & marabou so it could be removed easier next time.
Condition: Very good - Triple pinhead hole which I saw somewhere on the peignoir but cannot find now. Shown on the 4th photo is a pink mark on the end of one of the sleeves plus (which the photo could not capture) is a fairly large spot surrounding it. I did not want to start to try to remove it as I did not want to take a chance. Fortunately it is at the end of the sleeve and would probably be towards your body when wearing. I did not notice it until I started closely examining the sleeve. The middle layer of the nylon hangs somewhat lower than the top layer but that is an easy fix.

Care Instructions
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.
Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
